Sod Installation & Repair
New sod laid and bare or damaged patches repaired to match the rest of the lawn.
Spring is when ShoreCut lays the most sod, whether that is a brand new yard on a recently built property or a repair job patching bare and damaged spots on an established lawn. We prep the ground before anything goes down, grading out low spots and clearing debris so the new sod has a real chance to root rather than sitting on top of hard or uneven dirt. For new construction, that often means a full yard from bare dirt. For an established lawn, it is more often patch repair after a hard winter, construction damage, or a spot that just never came back after dog traffic or shade. Watering instructions go with every job so the new sod actually takes, because sod that is not watered right in the first few weeks will not hold no matter how well it was laid. This is seasonal work that we lean into hardest in spring, alongside new planting, when the weather gives new grass the best chance to establish before summer heat sets in.
