A lot of ShoreCut's landscape design work starts with a client pointing at a bare patch of dirt or a bed that has gone tired and asking what could go there instead. We plan and plant beds built for the Lowcountry: palms and ornamental grasses that hold up to salt air on the islands, flowering shrubs and perennials for color through the seasons, and foundation plantings that frame a house instead of hiding it. New construction properties often need a full landscape plan built from scratch, which is work we take on regularly across the barrier islands and surrounding towns. Established properties more often need a tired bed reworked: old plants pulled, the bed reshaped and edged, and new plantings put in that will actually hold up to the climate here. Every design job is finished with fresh mulch or pine straw so the bed looks complete the day we leave, not half done. ShoreCut does not take on hardscaping, but for planting, bed design and the dirt work that goes with it, this is where our crew spends a lot of its time.
